We are animals that learned to ask. Asking was never the purpose, more a side effect of our biology.
Whoever no longer has to survive begins to live. The freed, well-fed and secure life revolves only around the question of meaning and leads to despair. Not out of weakness, but because we were not made for it.
Survival never needed a meaning; it is its own. Over the person who begins to survive, who accepts pain as a part of life and does not flee from it, the question of meaning loses its power.
